Dr. Kate Elie is the Clinical Director for OREA and a seasoned clinician with more than 20 years of experience in behavioral health and substance use treatment. She is recognized for her commitment to client centered care and her advocacy for underserved communities. Her work includes extensive clinical support for military service members, veterans, and their families, with expertise in crisis intervention, trauma informed care, and resource navigation.Dr. Elie holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and a Doctor of Social Work from Simmons University. She is a Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical (LCSW C), a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), and an approved supervisor through both the Maryland Board of Social Work and the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists. Her practice is grounded in the belief that meaningful change occurs when individuals lived experiences are honored and therapeutic goals are pursued collaboratively. Dr. Elie is committed to empowering individuals as they navigate challenges, supporting their pursuit of long-term well-being.
